General Summary

 

The Department had 9 Research papers completed and 2 case studies done. Research presentation at the Department last November 2008 was done. The year 2008 research focused on Neurological, Trauma, Medical and Emergency cases. Referral and triaging system also was re-examined.  One of the researches focused on human factor of Emergency Department. Out of 9 research papers, Four (4) of them were presented at 10th Annual Scientific Meeting of Society for Emergency Medicine in Singapore last February 27-28, 2009. Recently five (5) research papers, (3 oral presentation and 2 poster presentation) were accepted to the 16th World Congress on Disaster & Emergency Medicine, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada this coming May 12-15, 2009.
