General Summary
The Department of Laboratories, in cooperation with the Department of Pathology of the UP-College of Medicine, as part of its residency training program, requires at least three research papers from the Pathology Residents, with the residents as main investigators and consultant Pathologists as co-authors.
For 2008, three two prospective studies, five retrospective, and two case reports were completed. One prospective research is still on-going due to the nature of the objectives. All were presented in the Annual Pathology Residents’ Research Forum conducted at the Alvior Hall Conference Room on October 7, 2008. The completed researches are likewise submitted to the Philippine Society of Pathologists for the annual Residents’ Research Paper Competition, which will be conducted on the third week of April 2009.
