UNDERGRADUATE TRAINING

The Department of Orthopedics offers a program to the undergraduate medical students of the UP College of Medicine. Students year level 5,6 and 7 go through a gradual exposure to field of orthopedics.

RESIDENCY TRAINING

The Department offers a four year residency program in orthopedic surgery. The program includes a rotation in Orthopedic Trauma, Adult and Reconstructive Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Spine and Hand Surgery.

OBSERVERSHIP/FELLOWSHIP

A limited number of observers from around the country are allowed to join the resident staff rotating in different services and subspecialties. Currently a 6 month orthopedic fellowship program on the methods of Ilizarov is offered.

MASTER IN ORTHOPEDICS

The Masters in Orthopedics Program is a 30 unit course offered by the College of Medicine , UP Mla. The program is designed to enable the student to acquire superior knowledge in the basic sciences.
