About us:

Ambulance Service

DEMS currently owns modern life support vehicles in the country. The department manages the operations, administration and training of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). The PGH ambulance system is recognized by international agencies i.e. WHO and USAID.

Operating Rooms.

Both areas are fully equipped suiting major and minor operations.

Examination Area

This area houses dentistry, ophthalmology and orthopedic emergency cases requiring immediate interventions. Patients of these specialty clinics may be sent home or be admitted to their respective wards.

Surgical Intensive Care Unit

Patients requiring stabilization and utmost monitoring before transfer to trauma and surgical wards are managed in this area.

Toxicology Room

Noticeably, there are cases of intoxication i.e. ingestion of chemicals deleterious to health, accidental or otherwise, food poisoning, and other related incidents. A Toxicology Room is one of the priorities of DEM management to address these fatal circumstances.
