The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (DRM) offers preventive, primary and rehabilitative care of the differently-abled through its inpatient and outpatient services. A multidisciplinary team approach, involving the physiatrist and the paramedical staff (physical, occupational and speech therapists, psychologists and rehabilitation nurses) is practiced. Specialty Clinics include Orthotics and Prosthetics, Stroke Clinic, Pediatric Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vocational Rehab Clinic, Vestibular Rehab, Geriatric Rehab, Sports Clinic, Hand Clinic and CLAP clinic. A Special Education Program (SPED) for differently-abled children is located in the DRM’s Luntiang Paraiso, the pediatric therapeutic garden.

Service is not limited to the hospital setting. The DRM is actively involved in the Community-based Rehabilitation Program of the DOH through training of health workers and family members of the differently-abled by the medical and paramedical staff.
